The Marketing for Learning podcast is finally here. We’ve got loads of content company your way, in short 5-15 minute episodes that are focused on helping YOU understand marketing better and more importantly, how to apply it to your learning strategies.
We’ve got episodes planned on learning campaigns, tools and techniques, branding, strategy and have loads of L&D practitioners lined up for interviews (the ones that are already putting marketing for learning into practice!)
But let’s first address the elephant in the room…
What is marketing for learning?!
I coined the phrase ‘Marketing for Learning’ a year or two ago with the birth of MAAS Marketing. It’s the whole purpose to the business – helping L&D professionals learn marketing skills and tactics to enhance their L&D strategies.
So to me, marketing for learning is the art of taking marketing practices and strategies and adapting them to apply to the world of learning and development. That means taking marketing thinking and ways of working in order to evolve the approaches of the L&D function – with the primary goal of increasing awareness and engagement with your learners.
Marketing has the potential to transform L&D (in my opinion!) – and with the Marketing for Learning podcast, want to help you get there by giving you ALL the tools, tactics and tips you need through this podcast. From learning campaigns and triggering emotions, to the 4 P’s, ‘what’s in it for me?’, and why you should bother thinking like a marketer at all – we will give you bag loads of stuff to equip yourself with the skills and knowledge you need to apply marketing thinking to your L&D strategies.
Ashley Sinclair is the host of the Marketing for Learning podcast. Having been a marketer for nearly a decade, Ashley is committed to developing the marketing skills of L&D. She also owns her own marketing agency, MAAS Marketing.
